Sixguns and Saddles Publishing of Houston, Texas is dedicated to providing information and ideas to those interested in the Old West and the Western lifestyle, whether you are interested in the history of the Old West, Old West re-creation in whatever form, or are living the Western lifestyle.

In the belief that fact is often stranger than fiction, the Sixguns and Saddles website will present information on the Old West as it really was - the people, the places and the events that formed the basis for the myths and legends of the West. We will talk about how and why the myths and legends formed.

But as interesting as history is, we cannot neglect the fiction - the dime novels that sensationalized true events, pulp westerns, spaghetti westerns and so on, so you will also find reviews of books, movies and other games about the Old West (and you can help support this site buy purchasing these items through our Amazon Associates links).

This site is not just a place for S&S to tell you what we think. Our Forum is intended to let folks contribute their ideas, information and stories as part of a community of fans of the Old West.

Joining the Forum

The Sixguns and Saddles forum is powered by phpBB and is a constant target for spammers. As such, membership is controled by the Forum Marshall. 99% of our current membership requests are from spammers and so most requests are automatically deleted.

If you would like to become a member, email us at Forum@SixgunsAndSaddles.com, tell us who you are and promise you are not a spammer, and we will get you signed up.

This site is just beginning and will keep growing. We hope you will be a part of it.

Sixguns and Saddles is also the new home of Victorian Gamer. VG has lain idle for sometime and now it is time to breath new life into it. S&S and VG both deal with life in the 19th century, so they are a perfect fit together.
